YAHOO! MILLIONAIRE CONTEST

In 2000, I led the creative team that beat 17 agencies (interactive and traditional) to win this contest. The goal was to create an integrated brand campaign for a real client using the elements of the Yahoo! Fusion Marketing program.

Our plan was to help Roxio launch its CD-burning software by creating a failed '80s new-wave band turned record company ready to give anyone a deal (and Roxio software, of course).




Congratulations to SF Interactive, representing Roxio, a provider of digital content management software for personal computers. The objective of their dream campaign is to launch Roxio as a cutting-edge software provider driving efficient cost per registration.

Contest winners: SF Interactive

As the winner, SF Interactive will receive ONE MILLION DOLLARS worth of advertising on Yahoo! for their client in 2001.

SF Interactive creatively leveraged Yahoo! Fusion Marketing to maximize online advertising with the most innovative use of finding any audience, connecting with anyone, and selling anything online.

The overall creative strategy is to introduce Roxio by creating hype around a fictitious band, The London English, turned record label, Fish & Discs Records.
